Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”, a new institution of the A+ Education Holding, has been officially authorized as a Cambridge International School. From now on, the Cambridge certificates awarded to the lyceum’s students will bear the registration number UA777, under which “Respublika STEM” will be recognized within the international education community.
Cambridge International School status enables the lyceum to:

- conduct Cambridge Primary Checkpoint and Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint sessions;

- create an international English-speaking environment for students.

Cambridge International Education is part of Cambridge University Press & Assessment and offers international education programmes and qualifications for children and young people aged 3 to 19. Today, Cambridge programmes are delivered by more than 10,000 schools in over 160 countries, with nearly two million students studying under them each year.
For Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”, Cambridge authorization is an important milestone in its launch. It makes it possible to integrate an international programme into the lyceum’s educational model and combine it with the Ukrainian national curriculum. This format is provided for by Cambridge International and allows schools to adapt the international curriculum to their local educational context.
The lyceum will also integrate individual international-standard courses into other programmes. Students in the “Mathematics” track will be able to study Cambridge Primary Mathematics / Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics, while students in the IT track will begin the Computing course this academic year.
Which Cambridge Programmes Will “Respublika STEM” Offer This Academic Year?
“Respublika STEM” begins the academic year by implementing four Cambridge International programme stages at once:
- Cambridge Early Years Programme for kindergarten students;
- Cambridge Primary with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint for children approximately 6–11 years old;
- Cambridge Lower Secondary with Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint for students approximately 11–14 years old;
- Cambridge IGCSE for students aged 14–16.
What Cambridge International School Status Means for Students
Education based on Cambridge International is built around a coherent system of curricula, teaching, learning resources, and assessment. The programmes are designed to develop deep subject understanding, the ability to analyze information, present arguments, conduct research, and apply knowledge in new situations.
For students of Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”, Cambridge will become one of the key academic areas alongside biotechnology and natural sciences, information technology, and mathematics. The school’s educational model combines the Ukrainian curriculum with international Cambridge subjects, including Mathematics, Science, English, Global Perspectives, Business, and Computer Science.
In the upper grades, students will have the opportunity to choose some of their subjects. Starting next year, the lyceum plans to expand the range of available subjects to better accommodate students’ academic interests and their needs when applying to higher education institutions.
The Cambridge Pathway provides a structured progression between educational stages. A student can progress from Cambridge Primary to Cambridge Lower Secondary and then continue their education through Cambridge upper secondary programmes.
