Autumn Camps at A+: Four Adventures During the Break in Kyiv

Autumn break in Kyiv can be spent behind the scenes of a theatre, in a science lab, making your own toy, or even in Count Dracula’s castle. From 26 to 30 October, Educational Holding A+ invites children to themed camps where every day is filled with creativity, research, team challenges and new friendships.

This autumn, four camps will run on four A+ campuses: Toy Story Camp, STEAM Theatre Camp, BIOLAB Camp and “Dracula’s New Castle”. The programmes combine active leisure with hands-on classes, where children can try different roles, develop their own ideas and create their first projects.

Choose an autumn camp in Kyiv that matches your child’s interests.

Toy Story Camp at A+ Academy: from play to projects of their own

What if favourite toys became the inspiration for new discoveries? Toy Story Camp invites children on a themed adventure where imagination meets technology and children’s ideas turn into projects of their own. Over five days, participants will make toys, learn the basics of programming, practise English and complete team challenges.

The programme includes:

  • making your own toy;
  • English in an interactive format;
  • programming basics;
  • creative workshops;
  • themed quests and team missions;
  • active games and activities.

The programme is designed so that children can experiment, work together and see the results of their own efforts. They will also make new friends, chat and spend the holidays in the company of their peers.

Dates: 26–30 October
Time: 10:00–18:00
Age: 6–9 years
Location: Academy of Modern Education A+, 4v Regeneratorna St. (“Comfort Town” RC)

STEAM Theatre Camp at Respublika Kids: theatre, science and technology

What if you combined acting, robotics, lab research and computer game creation? That is exactly what STEAM Theatre Camp at Respublika Kids offers. During the session, children aged 6–9 will explore the world of art and technology through hands-on classes, creative experiments and play.

The programme includes:

  • theatre studio and acting skills;
  • stage speech, diction and intonation;
  • laboratory research;
  • robotics and construction;
  • game development in Roblox;
  • creating figures with a 3D pen;
  • art studio and drawing;
  • creative workshops for making crafts and souvenirs;
  • sports games, walks and relay races.

Each direction opens up a new way of self-expression. In theatre classes, children will work with voice and emotion; in the lab, they will run experiments; and in robotics and construction classes, they will bring their own technical ideas to life. Here they can try themselves as an actor, inventor, artist or game developer. And perhaps discover an interest they never knew they had.

Dates: 26–30 October
Time: 9:00–18:00
Age: 6–9 years
Location: “Respublika Kids” Primary School, 2 Rodyny Kistiakivskykh St. (“Respublika” RC)

BIOLAB Camp at Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”: five days of scientific discoveries

What do holidays look like when, instead of ordinary lessons, children get laboratory experiments, engineering workshops and inventions of their own? BIOLAB Camp invites children aged 8–13 to explore science and technology at Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”. Over five days, participants will experiment, build, work on creative tasks and get to know different STEAM fields.

The programme includes:

  • scientific experiments and laboratory research;
  • IT classes and an introduction to technology;
  • Makerspace: creating your own inventions and models;
  • creative classes and projects;
  • sports activities and team games;
  • active quests;
  • music classes and entertainment.

Participants will be able to test their own hypotheses, work with different materials and look for solutions to practical problems. Scientific research will alternate with sport, music and creativity, so that every day is full and varied.
The campus has shelters and generators, so classes continue during power outages and children are looked after during air-raid alerts.

Dates: 26–30 October
Time: 9:00–18:00
Age: 8–13 years
Location: Kyiv Private Lyceum “Respublika STEM”, 6 Brativ Shemetiv St. (“Respublika” RC)

“Dracula’s New Castle” at Funny Fayna: theatre, architecture and Halloween adventures

This Halloween, Count Dracula has decided to rebuild his ancient castle. He needs architects, engineers, actors and inventors who can bring even the boldest ideas to life. And this time he is asking children for help!

The themed camp “Dracula’s New Castle” at the A+ Architectural and Engineering Collegium will turn the autumn break into a thrilling building mission. Over five days, participants will design the castle, create its inhabitants and uncover the secrets of the ancient palace together.

Four creative roles await the children:
Actors: will create characters, bring the castle’s inhabitants to life and perform theatre scenes.
Architects: will design towers, secret rooms, bridges and labyrinths.
Engineers: will look for unconventional solutions and build their own structures.
Castle residents: will complete team missions and uncover its secrets.

The session will culminate in the grand opening of Dracula’s New Castle. Children will present the structures, sets and theatre stories they have been working on throughout the week.

Theatre, architecture and the atmosphere of Halloween come together in one adventure where every participant has a role in a shared project.

Time: 10:00–17:00
Age: 6–10 years
Location: Architectural and Engineering Collegium A+, 14 Mriyi St. (“Faina Town” RC)
