Ukraine has officially joined the global movement of AI Olympiads.
Educational Holding A+ has become the national coordinator of IOAI 2026 — the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence for schoolchildren.
Artificial intelligence is already working in medicine, business, science, and public administration. Ukrainian students have received an official and clear path to enter this field through the National AI Olympiad.
This is a systemic selection and preparation of the National Team of Ukraine, which will represent the country at the World IOAI 2026 global final.
What is IOAI
IOAI (International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence) is an international Olympiad in artificial intelligence that brings together the strongest students from all over the world.
In 2024, 41 teams from 32 countries across six continents competed for victory, and in 2025 — over 75 teams from more than 60 countries.
The teams performed practical tasks, prepared reports, and formed an international community that accelerates progress in the field of artificial intelligence. Over the past two years, IOAI has become a global competitive educational program that inspires and shapes the generation of creators of the AI era.
The Olympiad combines work with real AI tasks, data analysis, model building, and the presentation of one’s own solutions. Participants become part of the global AI community.

IOAI in Ukraine
The National Coordinator of IOAI in Ukraine is Educational Holding A+, the only officially accredited organization (certificate №139 dated 25.11.2025) that conducts the national selection, prepares participants, and forms the National Team of Ukraine for IOAI 2026.
Educational Holding A+ is responsible for Ukraine’s entire journey to IOAI — from registration to the final team composition.
First year. First official selection.
International Final IOAI 2026
The final will take place on August 2–8, 2026 in Abu Dhabi at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) — the world’s first research university dedicated to artificial intelligence.
Competition structure at the international level:
- two-day competition
- 3 practical tasks per day
- 6 hours of work daily
Competition among individual participants with awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze medals, and separate distinctions.
In 2025, the team task was on the topic “future factory” and included simulation phases and robot validation phases.
The full list of tasks will become available at the beginning of 2026, and in the meantime, you can familiarize yourself with the program and start independent research on key topics.

The goal of the Olympiad is to find and support talented youth and form the National Team of Ukraine.
How the selection takes place
The selection consists of four progressively more difficult rounds:
Round 1 | 17.12.2025 – 31.01.2026
Open to all participants.
Basic topics:
- AI concepts
- logic and argumentation
- history of AI
- pattern recognition theory
- information search and processing mechanisms
- ethics and responsible use of AI
Round 2 | February 2026
Higher level of difficulty, focused on problem-solving and applied understanding of AI.
Round 3 | March–April 2026
Practical tasks in Artificial Intelligence combined with theoretical tests. Students apply their skills and critical thinking through problem-solving tasks.
Up to 50 participants proceed further.
Between the third and fourth rounds, Educational Holding A+ organizes training programs with lectures and practical sessions.
Round 4 | May–June 2026
The Scientific Committee, with the involvement of the best practitioners in Ukraine in the field of AI, will present a series of preparatory lectures and practical sessions to help participants prepare for the next stage of the competition. Students will raise their level of knowledge to achieve international IOAI standards.
Based on the results of the final offline round, up to 10 participants representing Ukraine at IOAI will be selected.
The National Team (4 participants) will present Ukraine in the final in Abu Dhabi
Who can join
- secondary and high school students, college students;
- citizens of Ukraine or those studying in educational institutions of Ukraine;
- aged 14 to 20 as of July 1, 2026.
The selection will take place throughout the entire territory of Ukraine, except for temporarily occupied areas.
